The fastest time to eat three Carolina Reaper chillies is 8.72 seconds and was achieved by Greg Foster (USA) in San Diego, California, USA, on 11 December 2021.

To Greg, this record attempt is a personal challenge to see how far he can push himself and his love for Carolina Reaper pepper. As a chilli lover, he has been trying to advance the awareness and the excitement surrounding the super-hot chillis out there and showcase his talent of consuming vast amounts of these "incredible pods of pain" (in his words) in the fastest time possible. This attempt was solely a personal endeavour to achieve another Guinness World Records title alongside his record for the most Carolina Reaper chilis eaten in one minute (120 g) in 2016.
