Fastest speed achieved kite surfing (male)

The fastest speed kite surfing by a man was 57.97 knots (107.36 km/h; 66.71 mph), achieved by Alexandre Caizergues (France) over a 500-metre course on the Salin-de-Giraud canal in Port St Louis, France, during the 2017 Salt and Speed event on 13 November 2017. The record was ratified by the World Sailing Speed Record Council.

He surpassed his previous record of 56.62 knots (104.86 km/h; 65.16 mph), set at the same location on 11 November 2013.
