Geng recorded times of (5.09), 3.96, 3.71, 3.84 and (3.37) seconds, with the fastest and the slowest times discounted from the average as per World Cube Association (WCA) rules.

He surpassed the previous mark of 3.90 seconds, set by Yiheng Wang at the Taizhou Open 2025 event in Taizhou, Zhejiang, China, on 26 July 2025.
