Fastest-selling racing videogame for PlayStation 3

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue became the fastest-selling PlayStation 3 game in a single week following its release in March 2008. Since then, its first week sales have only been surpassed by Grand Theft Auto IV and Metal Gear Solid 4(which beat it by a factor of just 2,000 units), but it remains the fastest-selling racing game for the system. VG Chartz reported worldwide first-week sales of 639,548 copies. Guinness World Records Gamers Edition 2009.
