First track to spend 100 weeks on the US Billboard Hot 100

On 26 July 2025, “Lose Control” by American singer/songwriter Teddy Swims (b. Jaten Dimsdale) became the first track in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 (inaugurated on 4 August 1958) to reach a century of weeks on the chart. “Lose Control” debuted at No.99 on 26 August 2023 and has been present every week since, except for 4 January 2025. It spent a solitary week at No.1 on 30 March 2024 and has racked up six million certified sales and streams in the US.
“Lose Control” took the ‘most weeks on chart’ record from “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals on 31 May 2025, adding a 92nd week to its Hot 100 stay.
The track has also logged the most weeks in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 (70 non-consecutive weeks) and the longest climb to No.1 (32 weeks).
