Tallest Paralympic athlete (male)

The tallest Paralympic athlete (male) is Morteza Mehrzadselakjani (Iran) who measures 247 cm (8 ft 1 in), as verified in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 7 September 2016.

At just over eight feet tall, Morteza is currently the second tallest man in the world and in 2016, he became the tallest athlete to ever compete at the Rio Paralympic Games.

Morteza continued to be a key member of the Iranian Sitting Volleyball Paralympic team, in the subsequent Paralympic games in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.
