Largest gathering of Ford GPA amphibians

The largest gathering of Ford GPA amphibious vehicles since the Second World War was 16, at the 20th National GPA Swim - in at Corowa, NSW, Australia on 13 March, 1999. Ford GPAs were based on the legendary US army jeep, and over 12,000 were built during WWII. Ben Carlin's vehicle Half-Safe, in which he completed the only amphibious circumnavigation of the world in the 1950s, was a modified Ford GPA.
