Jean began playing croquetat te age of 95 and then proceeded to represent Lodsworth Croquet Club just two years later. She the final in Lodsworth 2024 Ladies Singles and Mixed Doubles, went on to win the ‘Vera Baker Trophy’ on 17th October 2024 and this year won the Golden Mallet Competition (fewest shots to run six hoops) with 19 shots. Her record was verified when she competed at South East Croquet Federation’s Carnival Day at Sussex County Club in Southwick, UK.
