Most consecutive swimming Olympic gold medals

Only two female swimmers have won the same event on three occasions,  Dawn Fraser (Australia), 100 m freestyle, 1956, 1960 and 1964 and Krisztina Egerszegi (Hungary), 200 m backstroke 1988, 1992 and 1996.
