Most nominations for Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television at the Golden Globe Awards

On 11 December 2023, Fargo (FX, USA) secured its fourth nomination in this category, which has been awarded annually since 1980. Noah Hawley’s hit TV series debuted on 15 April 2014 and has attracted nominations for its first (2014), second (2015), third (2017) and fifth (2023–24) seasons, winning the award at the first attempt at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards on 11 January 2015. Among Fargo’s star-studded cast are Billy Bob Thornton (Season 1, as hitman Lorne Malvo) and Ewan McGregor (Season 3, as brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy), who have both won Best Actor awards. Eight other cast members have received nominations, including Season 5 stars Jon Hamm (as Sheriff Roy Tillman) and Juno Temple (as Dot Lyon), who were shortlisted for the 81st Golden Globe Awards on 7 January 2024.

With its 2024 nomination, Fargo broke a tie with TV series American Crime Story (FX, USA, 2016–), which has been nominated three times (2017, 2019 and 2022).
