The youngest male freestyle football world champion, according to the World Freestyle Football Association (WFFA), is Erlend Fagerli (Norway, b. 19 June 1997), who was aged 19 years 62 days when he won the Super Ball World Open in Liberec, Czechia, on 20 August 2016.

Fagerli’s love for the sport began in May 2009, when he and his brother Brynjar (also a professional freestyle footballer) came across videos of it on YouTube. Just seven years later, Erlend won the 2016 Super Ball World Open, in which Brynjar came fourth.

Throughout their careers, the brothers have been partners and rivals, winning awards for their doubles routines and going head to head in world championship finals.

Fagerli has accrued the most freestyle football world titles – 10 – according to the WFFA. After winning his 10th world championship in Nairobi, Kenya, in late November 2023, Erlend announced his retirement from the sport.

The youngest female freestyle football world champion, meanwhile, is Isabel Wilkins (UK, b. 29 August 2007), who was aged 15 years 344 days when she won the 2023 Super Ball event in Prague, Czechia, on 8 August 2023.
