  • This record is for the greatest distance a person can swim under ice holding their breath wearing swim fins.
  • This is to be attempted by a female individual.
  • This record is measured in metres (m) to the nearest 0.01 m, with the equivalent imperial measurement given in feet (ft).
  • For the purpose of this record, only a standard swimsuit and goggles can be worn. Aids such as swim caps, weights, greases and nose/ear plugs are not to be used.
  • For the purpose of this record, fins, swim fins or flippers are fin-like accessories worn on the feet, to aid movement through the water in water sports activities.
  • For the purpose of this record, the attempt must be ratified by the International Association for Development of Apnea (AIDA) under rulings by them. Representative from the organisation must be present as independent witnesses.
