The fastest Polar row was achieved by captain Fiann Paul (Iceland), Jamie Douglas-Hamilton (United Kingdom), Lisa Farthofer (Austria), Stefan Ivanov (Bulgaria) and Brian Krauskopf (USA) who rowed at an average speed 2,85 knots on the open waters of the Southern Ocean a distance of 407 nautical miles on the Southern Ocean from King George Island, Antarctica to Laurie Island, Antarctica between 11 January and 17 January 2023 onboard ocean rowing boat Mrs Chippy.
