Formed in 2017 by talent manager Simon Fuller (Spice Girls/Kelly Clarkson/Annie Lennox/Amy Winehouse), Now United originally consisted of 14 members from 14 different countries: Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Russia, Senegal, South Korea, UK and USA. The troupe of singers and dancers were all teenagers or in their early 20s when Fuller’s vision for the world’s first global pop group came to fruition. Since 2017, Now United have released numerous singles and music videos, staged online shows and toured the world. They have picked up trophies at the Brazilian version of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (Meus Prêmios Nick) and a Best Group nomination – alongside the likes of BLACKPINK, Little Mix and winners BTS – at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2020. The social-media-savvy collective have built a particularly strong following in Latin America, and have bagged some lucrative sponsorship deals in Brazil.
