The USA secured a record third women’s world cup title with a 16–12 victory over France on 4 June 2023 in Vienna, Austria. They also won the first two editions of the event, in 2012 and 2014. 3x3 basketball games are played on a half-court with one basket, contested by teams of three players with one substitute. The winners are the first team to reach 21 points, or the highest scorers at the end of the ten-minute game.
