The fastest cumulative swim time to complete the Oceans Seven is 49 hours 37 minutes 45 seconds achieved by Andreas Waschburger (Germany) between 8 September 2023 (English Channel) and 4 September 2025 (North Channel).

The Oceans Seven, the open-water swimming community's equivalent of mountaineering's Seven Summits, was first proposed in 2008 by the World Open Water Swimming Association. It consists of the following challenging waterways around the world: the North Channel between Northern Ireland and Scotland, UK; the Cook Strait between the North and South Islands of New Zealand; the Molokai/Kaiwi Channel between Oahu and Molokai Islands in Hawaii, USA; the English Channel between England and France; the Catalina Channel between Catalina Island and the southern California mainland; the Tsugaru Channel between the islands of Honshu and Hokkaido in Japan; and the Strait of Gibraltar between Europe and Africa.

Waschburger's Oceans Seven swim dates/times were as follows:

- English Channel (England to France): 8 September 2023: 6 hr 45 min 25 sec (itself a record for this swim route)

- Molokai/Kaiwi Channel (Molokai to Oahu, Hawaii, USA): 6 October 2024: 9 hr 55 min 10 sec (itself a record for this swim route)

- Cook Strait (South to North Island, New Zealand): 25 March 2025: 5 hr 13 min 57 sec

- Strait of Gibraltar (Spain to Morocco): 6 April 2025: 2 hr 51 min

- Tsugaru Strait (Honshu to Hokkaido, Japan): 8 July 2025: 8 hr 43 min 21 sec

- Catalina Channel (Catalina Island to California mainland, USA): 4 August 2025: 7 hr 57 min 40 sec

- North Channel (Northern Ireland to Scotland, UK): 4 September 2025: 8 hr 11 min 12 sec (itself a record for this swim route).

This bettered the previous record of 63 hours 2 minutes 9 seconds achieved by Andrew Donaldson (UK) between 7 August 2022 and 27 July 2023.
