The fastest drift by an electric car is 207.996 km/h (129.243 mi/h) and was achieved by Zhao Junfeng, sponsored by Zhejiang Zeekr Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.(both China), in Yancheng, Jiangsu, China, on 9 June 2022.
The attempt is part of a marketing event to promote the elctric car and increase ZEEKR's brand awareness in China. Therefore, the attempts were done by an engineer from the company. And according to the organizor, the challenger practiced quite a time.The attemtp was done in CATARC automotive proving ground, and before the attempt, the third-party professional measuring company did the measurment for the racing track. During the attempt, the drift angle is ranging from 31.3 to 35.9 degrees.
