Made-for-TV pop quartet The Monkees (USA/UK; Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork) scored four No.1 albums on the Billboard 200 in 1967: The Monkees (five weeks at No.1, from 7 January to 4 February; also eight weeks at No.1 in 1966); More of The Monkees (18 weeks at No.1, from 11 February to 10 June); Headquarters (one week at No.1, on 24 June); Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. (five weeks at No.1, on 2–30 December).

Eight different acts have achieved three calendar-year No.1s on 11 separate occasions since the Billboard 200 was first published as a weekly chart on 24 March 1956: Elvis Presley (1957 and 1961), The Kingston Trio (1960), The Beatles (1964–66), Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (1966), Elton John (1975), Garth Brooks (1998), Glee Cast (2010) and Taylor Swift (2021).
