Highest temple

The Rongbuk temple, between Tingri and Shigatse in Tibet, China is at an altitude of approximately 5,100 m (16,700 ft), just 40 km (25 miles) from Mt Everest. It contains nine chapels, and a number of lamas and nuns live there.
