The heaviest weight tossed over the shoulder in 8 hours (weighted ball) is 72,210 kg (159,195 lb), achieved by Lewis Bacchus (UK), in High Wycombe, UK, on 22 May 2021.

Lewis wanted to raise awareness of the condition Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and has always dreamed of achieving a Guinness World Records title, so decided to organise a record attempt to help his efforts. This has always been one of his favourite exercises as it works multiple muscle groups and he felt it would be a good indication of how people who suffer with MS feel fatigue.

He trained twice a week for the attempt and found the preparation more mentally difficult than physically challenging. All of his training was conducted outdoors, however on the day of the attempt the weather changed unexpectedly and he had to move the attempt indoors. Luckily it did not impact his ability and he was still able to achieve the record. His recovery took around 4 days after the attempt.
