The most pairs performing a badminton rally simultaneously is 125 pairs, and was achieved by Decathlon Group (China) in Shanghai, China, on 20 July 2020.

To call for more people to work out outdoors, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, Decathlon Group ran a marketing campaign including a series of record attempts. Decathlon believes that playing badminton outdoors is quite suitable during this special time as it keeps two players distant from each other, which is why they attempted this record.
