The most drum stick flips in 30 seconds is 66, and was achieved by Eric Carr (USA), in Blackwood, New Jersey, USA, on 6 July 2024.

Eric has been a drummer for 25 years and is constantly flipping his drumsticks, often without even realizing it! He recalls getting reprimanded by his band directors for causing such distractions, even though it was not his intention.

Despite of this Eric is happy he developed this habit as it's helped him better prepare for this record title. To further prepare, he also used a drumstick metronome, a digital device created for drummers/musicians focusing on rhythm practice, while producing a sound resembling the strike of a drumstick.

For this attempt, only commercially available 5A sticks are allowed, as they are lighter in weight, medium thick, well-rounded and ideal for most genres.
