The longest arc rotation of a pivoted building measures 288.24 m (945.67 ft) and was achieved by Shanghai Evolution Building Shift, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Transport, Xiamen Railway Construction Command, Xiamen Port Holding Group, Xiamen Port Construction Group, China Construction First Group, Fujian Newtime Project Management, and Jiang Architects & Engineers (all China) in Xiamen, Fujian, China, on 6 September 2019.
The whole building, including 3 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, weighs around 30,000 tonnes. The rotation project from design and planning to completion took about 1 year. The actual rotation only took 1.5 months to complete.
