Jimmy Connors (USA) won his 100th title on the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Tour at the US Open on 11 September 1983, 11 years 239 days after securing his first title, at the Jacksonville Open in Florida, USA, on 15 January 1972. Roger Federer (Switzerland), the only other man with 100 ATP titles to his name, achieved his 100th win at the Dubai Tennis Championships, in the United Arab Emirates, on 2 March 2019. His landmark win came 18 years 26 days after claiming his inaugural title, at the Milan Indoor tournament in Italy on 4 February 2001.

Connors won a total of 109 titles on the ATP Tour between 15 January 1972 and 22 October 1989 (his 109th win was at the Tel Aviv Open in Israel). It took him 17 years 280 days to do it – 111 days quicker than Federer’s journey to 100 titles.
