The most elbow passes with a hula hoop in one minute is 46, achieved by Janani Saravana (India) of the Chennai Hoopers at the offices of Guinness World Records in London, UK, on 19 January 2023.

Janani is a student of the Chennai Hoopers school for hooping, which was opened in 2018 by founder Vijayalakshmi Saravana. A delegation from the Chennai Hoopers visited the London headquarters of GWR to demonstrate their skills and attempt a number of records. Janani achieved three records on the day, for most elbow passes (46), most elbow passes while wearing inline skates (15) and most single leg raises while hooping around the knees in 30 seconds (15).
