Most alternative retail editions of a sports videogame

In 2004, Codemasters released the 2005 version of the football (soccer) game Club Football in 21 different editions, each tailored to a specific club from seven different national leagues. The complete list was Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Birmingham City, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur (all English Premier League), Celtic, Rangers (both Scottish Premier League), Real Madrid, Barcelona (La Liga, Spain), AC Milan, Juventus, Inter Milan (Serie A, Italy), Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Hamburger SV (German Premier League), Paris St Germain, Olympique De Marseille (Ligue One, France) and Ajax (Eredivisie, Netherlands). The gameplay in each variation was ultimately the same, but with the player controlling the title club complete with that club's players, stadium and kits.

The first edition of Club Football, released in 2003, was only available in 17 different editions. Codemasters canned the series after the 2005 editions.
