The most goals scored in a football (soccer) FIFA Club World Cup game by an individual is 3, achieved by Luis Suárez (Uruguay) in Yokohama, Japan, on 17 December 2015; and equalled by Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) in Yokohama, Japan on 18 December 2016; Gareth Bale (UK) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on 19 December 2018; Hamdou Elhouni (Libya) in Al Rayyan, Qatar, on 17 December 2019; Jamal Musiala (Germany) in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, on 15 June 2025; and Abou Ali (Palestine, b. Denmark) in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA, on 23 June 2025.
Suárez recorded his hat-trick for Barcelona against Guangzhou Evergrande, while Ronaldo and Bale both struck for Real Madrid against Kashima Antlers. Hamdou Elhouni scored his for Espérance de Tunis against Al-Sadd in 2019. There were two trebles at the expanded 2025 FIFA Club World Cup – Musiala scored his off the bench during Bayern Munich’s record 10–0 thrashing of Auckland City, while Abou Ali matched his feat during Al Ahly’s 4–4 draw with Porto.
