Far Cry (Crytek, 2004) was the first game to be coded using developer Crytek's infamous CryEngine. The engine has since been upgrades and used to create blockbuster titles such as Crysis (Crytek, 2007), State of Decay (Undead Labs, 2013), Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric (Big Red Button Entertainment, 2014), and Evolve (Turtle Rock Studios, 2015).
