The standard maximum break is 75 but an 83 break is possible if the opponent, in this case Milad Elabbar (Libya), committs a foul and the free ball is taken. The 83 break occurred in the 2nd frame and was part of a historic scoreline as Talaat won 4-0 with his opponent failing to score (71-0, 87-0, 36-0 and 46-0). To date this is the only time a player has achieved an 83 break in a competitive game of 6 Reds Snooker.
