The fastest speed achieved by a rocket-powered model car with 2.5 N.s of impulse is 146.54 km/h (91.05 mph), built by Griffe Field Primary School's Science and Engineering Club (UK) as tested at Donington Exhibition Centre, UK, on 4 July 2016.
The record was broken as part of the Bloodhound SSC team's 'Model Rocket Car challenge', where school children were invited to design cars with varying strengths of rocket engines.
