The longest videogame marathon playing a casual game lasted 30 hours exactly and was achieved by Laura Rich (UK) and Kathleen Henkel (USA), who played Solitaire Blitz (PopCap, 2012) simultaneously in London, UK, and New York, USA, respectively on 26–27 June 2012.
The transatlantic marathon saw Kathleen and Laura linked up via video connections between London and New York. More than $90,000 was raised for Charity: Water, a voluntary organization that aims to bring safe drinking water to developing countries. This record is also the longest videogame marathon on a card game and the longest videogame marathon on Solitaire Blitz.
