Most stand-up specials by a comedian

Actress and comedian Kathy Griffin (USA) has hosted 20 televised stand-up comedy specials since debuting with “HBO Comedy Half-Hour” in October 1996. Griffin’s most recent special was Bravo’s “Kathy Griffin: Record Breaker”, in December 2013. Eighteen of Griffin’s specials have been aired on Bravo, and in 2011 she became the first comedian to host four televised specials in a calendar year: “50 and Not Pregnant”, “Gurrl Down”, “Pants Off” and “Tired Hooker”.
