First public hand-held platform beta test

LittleBigPlanet Vita (Sony, 2012) invited players into a beta test. Players were asked to sign up, and then e-mailed special codes to download the game, with access to a number of levels and the game’s creative toolset. Everyone who took part was promised a Beta Test Vest costume download in the final game. The exclusive item was in the appropriate shape of a worker’s high-visibility jacket!
