The first row of the Atlantic east to west from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere was achieved by Erden Eruç (Turkey) who rowed solo from Luderitz, Namibia to Guiria, Venezuela, from 10 November 2011 to 11 March 2012.

Erden completed this journey in his boat, Around-n-Over, as part of his record-breaking first solo circumnavigation of the globe using human power.
