The greatest distance at which a grape thrown from ground level has been caught in the mouth is 108 m (354 ft 4 in) and was achieved by Paul E. Lyday III (USA) in Fort Motte, South Carolina, USA, on 7 September 2009.
The launch devise used was a pouch attached to two elastic bands.
